Clouds have been a fleeting but powerful reward in this unexpected adulthood in which my time is no longer my own. As I race through the days, the unexpected sight of clouds towering overhead, swollen and impending, or framed by a regal purple rolling bluegrass sunset, is not just arresting, but, for a moment and some time after, adequate recompense. An hour of cloud watching would be an almost impossible luxury. Add a baguette and cheese from Wine+Market to eat while I linger with the changing clouds and reminisce about briefly-conquered Paris, and that hour would be a jewel.

Don AmentI like how when the wind bumps into clouds it just goes around them, it doesn't get stuck. I want to be like the wind. Sometimes I bump into stuff and it just stops me cold. Where is all that artistic flexibility I strive for when something as soft as a cloud stops me cold?I want to watch more clouds, not to see how awesome they are, but to learn how to move around them with grace and ease.....
Kim ThomasAhh, to watch a cloud is to watch the majestic Hand of the Universe make handpuppets in the sky.
To watch a cloud is to imagine the white puffs as the sign of something new, something as profound as the selection of a new pope, or as nebulous as a cold clear day’s sky, conspicuously holding heavenly divinity candy just above our heads, reachable only if we leave burdens behind and let our souls soar.
To watch a cloud is both a calm, steady act as well as an act of transition. We cannot shape them forever, they are fleeting…thus, clouds are bliss.....
doreen maloneyDear ELandF,
I would love to be your cloud watcher. I am already a cloud watcher. Clouds and sky take me from the mundane and project my mind into the eternal. Clouds bring bliss, and show change. Transformation of earth's space occurs continuously and like the changing sky my emotional self becomes washed clean, becomes refreshed. The higher limits of mind are connected to the clouds and the blue sky. Peacefulness and space descend through the eyes and become manifest in the body. Wind blows and completes the cycle of renewal and change. All this just from watching clouds.....Katerina Stoykova-KlemerPlease review my submission of 96 words as to why I’d like to be a cloud watcher for this event:I watch clouds for free all the time. Last week I was watching clouds --- a tiny white lamb was frolicking among some strato-cumuli when suddenly a nimble wolf appeared from behind some small (nimbus of course) clouds. Seeing the wolf, the lamb sprang behind a giant thunderhead, the wolf in hot pursuit. I waited a good while, until it began to rain, but they never reappeared.
This event is the perfect opportunity for me to find out what happened to them.

I have always wanted to be the Homo sapien exhibited in The House of Great Apes and Other Primates at the zoo. This may be as close as I'll ever come in fulfilling that aspiration.....JoshuaIs a multi prismatic organism of particulates the reflect and/ or refract light.
